About me

In my 20’s, I was rear ended in a minor car accident. The injuries from the accident led me into the healing arts and becoming a practitioner... I’ve never looked back.

Through the years, my clients have ranged in ages from 3 months to 101 years old. They’ve been seeking answers to what ails them from back pain to digestive issues to grief, trauma…you name it. I have seen hundreds of different symptoms, listened to their stories, and there’s always a common theme: their body held the answer and only needed to be asked.  Whether it was reconnecting to the sacred breath by joining a breathwork circle, or freeing stagnant energy in the body through energy kinesiology--the solutions were just waiting to be unlocked.

Training and Professional Practices

Energy Kinesiology:  I began studying Energy Kinesiology (EK) in 1996; earning my certificate from The Kinesiology Institute under the leadership of John Maguire. I’ve been teaching EK domestically and abroad since 2012 and I’m currently on the faculty of the Kinesiology Institute. I’ve also been fortunate to have studied with two masters in the EK field, Dr. Sheldon Deal and Carla Hannaford, PhD. I’ve accumulated thousands of hours of experience working with clients in my private practice, the offices of chiropractors and the post-event therapy tents for athletic events.

Breathwork: I fell in love with Breathwork in 1989 and undertook a 4 year apprenticeship with Maia Dhyan. (Maia studied with worldwide Breathwork founders Leonard Orr and Sondra Ray.) In 1991 I began leading Breathwork groups and I’ve done so across the US and in the UK. In March 2020 I began leading virtual Breathwork Circles. In the first year I facilitated over 100!

Massage: I began my career in the healing arts as a massage therapist earning my license in Florida in 1989 from Educating Hands, a highly regarded school in Miami. I’ve been practicing massage since then and augmented my initial schooling with speciality trainings in Infant massage, which I introduced for the first time to Scotland in 1991. I also studied the Paul St. John neuromuscular therapy technique.

Pilates: I completed the Body Kinetics Pilates Teacher Training Program under Carol Appel in 2005, while also becoming PMA certified. Pilates continues to play an important role in my private practice and I still attend Pilates conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest innovations.

EFT: I completed EFT Training Levels 1 and 2 in 2013 under the tutelage of Zoe Walton and Lynn Robinson. I often use EFT techniques in my EK sessions.

Homeopathy: After 4 intense years, I graduated from the Institute of Classical Homoeopathy (San Francisco, California) in 2011. I find I regularly employ my homeopathic skills in my EK sessions.

Bach Flower: I completed The Bach Foundation Distance Learning Program in 2007.

Bringing It All Together: This deep and varied body of study, that includes the physical, emotional, chemical, and spiritual aspects of being human, allows me to weave and blend any one or a combination of these modalities into my EK sessions. My sole intent is to address and solve my clients unique and specific issues.

Personal: Although I’m a native of Scotland, I prefer the climate of Marin County, California and I feel very lucky to call it home. My husband Sean and I enjoy the bountiful hiking, biking and kayaking found on our doorstep.

My feeling: It is both a privilege and a joy to have been entrusted by so many people—with a wide variety of challenges—who have sought my help.
This is not just a 9 to 5 job, but rather, my calling, my passion, my purpose.
My sole intent is to address and solve your unique challenge, because I know you were born to flourish.
The work we do together is always illuminating, and in some cases, profound and even life changing.
